I did all my schooling at Mossman from Year 1 to Year 11. I have two sisters and one brother and lots of cousin brothers and sisters. My partner is also from Mossman and we have 3 daughters and one son. I grew up with my mum’s side of the family.
I like playing sports, hunting and sleeping, and whenever there is time, I try and do something with my kids. I work as a Tour Guide at the Mossman Visitor Centre. My dream is to have a full time job, own a car and my own home on my Bubu(Land) so that my family and I have a better life.
I particularly like drawing rainforest animals and I have turned many of these into screen prints. They have sold very well to visitors from Australia and other countries who do the guided rainforest walks through the Mossman Visitor Centre. My work has also been exhibited in the following exhibitions:
- ‘Connections’, Unique State Screen prints by Yalanji Artists – 2012 – Kick Arts, Cairns
- Cairns Indigenous Art Fair - 2011 (TANKS Art Space)
- Cairns Indigenous Art Fair - 2012 (Cairns Cruise Terminal)
