Lawrence Waigana

I was born on Thursday Island in the Torres Strait and I come from a family of five sisters and six brothers. I was educated at Djarragun College in Gordonvale, south of Cairns.

I like movies and fishing, being outdoors and playing tackle football.
At the art shed, I most like drawing people, the rainforest and sea creatures. I also really like woodwork and furniture making.

My dream is to learn more about art and woodwork so that I can become a teacher and work with others.
